Why This Project

Toronto Cat Rescue (TCR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming cats in need. However, their website had usability challenges that made it difficult for users to navigate, find adoption information, and complete donations. As a UX designer, I saw an opportunity to improve the site’s structure and user experience, making it easier for potential adopters and donors to take action.

The Problem

The existing TCR website had:

  • A confusing user journey – Users struggled to find key information, leading to drop-offs.

  • Complicated adoption & donation processes – Forms were lengthy and unclear, discouraging conversions.

  • Poor content hierarchy – Important details were buried, making navigation frustrating.

The Solution

Through user research and usability analysis, I redesigned the website to:
✔ Simplify navigation with a clear structure and intuitive layout.
✔ Streamline adoption & donation processes to reduce friction and increase engagement.
✔ Enhance content hierarchy to ensure users quickly find what they need.

The result? A more user-friendly, efficient, and engaging website that better supports TCR’s mission—helping more cats find loving homes.
